Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
Usage limits for Assets and the virtual service agent in Jira Service Management will take effect on October 16. See our blog article for more details.
Assets is Jira Service Management’s native asset and configuration management tool for Premium and Enterprise plans. It gives teams a flexible and dynamic way to track all kinds of assets and configuration items (CIs), enabling teams to easily link them to service requests, incidents, problems, changes, and workloads. Extra objects is an add-on for Assets that enables you to store more objects on your site, beyond the 50,000 objects that are included for free with your base plan.
Your Extra objects bill is based on the feature's usage. It will show the number of objects you’re paying for.
For monthly subscriptions, we offer per-object pricing. When objects are added to Assets, they’re automatically counted towards billing . We’ll charge the card on file each month for the number of objects currently stored on your site beyond the 50,000 object allowance included with your plan.
Annual subscriptions are based on distinct tiers.
To get an idea of the base cost per extra object, see the Assets row on our pricing page.
To view your bill estimate:
Go to admin.atlassian.com and select Billing.
Find Jira Service Management in the list and select Manage.
On the Subscriptions details page, select the Add-ons tab.
View the number extra objects and bill estimate.
The Extra objects add-on is connected to your Jira Service Management subscription, so it will use the same billing date and cycle.
To get extra Assets objects for your site, first you’ll need to subscribe to the Extra objects add-on (you’ll need billing admin permissions):

Optimize your Assets schemas to make the most of your objects.
Delete objects you no longer need.
When you unsubscribe from the Extra objects add-on:
You won’t be able create or import new objects until your current usage is lower than the base allowance.
There is no effect on your Atlassian cloud product subscriptions, which continue as previously. For information about cancelling your product subscriptions, see Cancel your site subscription.
If you resubscribe in the future, the price may be different from what you are paying today.
