Auto-approve standard changes
ITIL defines a standard change as a request that is pre-approved. The IT service project template comes with an automation template that can be used to pre-approve standard changes.
It works by looking at change requests that have the Change type set to Standard. It transitions these through the Peer review / Change manager approval stage to the Planning stage.
You can find this template in your automation settings:
From your service project, select Project settings, then Automation.
Select the template called ‘When a low risk change management request is in review → move request to approved’.

This page is for company-managed projects
If the lower-left of your service project sidebar says you're in a team-managed project, check out these team-managed project articles instead.
