View and manage agents in your Jira space
The Agents page provides a single place to view all the agents that can operate in your Jira space. An agent appears here when it can be assigned in Jira or is configured in an automation. The list of agents includes out-of-the-box agents created by Atlassian, custom Rovo agents created in Studio, and third-party agents.
From the list of agents, you can select any agent to open a side panel with more details, including:
A description of what the agent does and what access level it has
The triggers that invoke it (workflows, Jira automations, or Studio automations)
Space-level instructions that guide how the agent behaves in your space
Context linked to the agent
You must be a Jira admin or space admin to add agents or view and edit their details and triggers.
View the Agents page
Next to the name of your space in the sidebar or header, select More actions (), then Space settings.

Agent access
An agent can access content and operate by either using the agent’s own account or a user’s account.
Agent’s account
An agent using its own account can perform actions in an open space without being added to the space. In a private or limited-access space, you must add the agent and assign it a space role with the permissions needed to perform those actions.
User’s account
This type of access means an agent will run on behalf of the person who triggers it. An agent using a user’s account will inherit the same permissions as the user.
Add an agent to your space
There are three ways to add an agent to your space. You can add them from the Agents page, the Access page in your space settings, or directly from the space menu. All three methods are detailed below.
To add an agent from the Agents page:
Next to the name of your space in the sidebar or header, select More actions (), then Space settings.
[Agents (エージェント)] を選択します。

Search for and select an agent. Only agents configured with an “agent’s account” will appear here.
Select a Space role to define the permissions the agent will have.

To add an agent from your space menu:
Next to the name of your space in the sidebar or header, select More actions ().
Select Add agent.
To add an agent from the Access page:
Next to the name of your space in the sidebar or header, select More actions (), then Space settings.

In private spaces, agents will only have access when they’ve been added with a role. In open and limited spaces, agents may have baseline read access depending on the space permissions.
Update agent settings
If you’re a space admin, you can use the Agents page to keep each agent aligned with your team's workflow. Open an agent in the side panel to review and update the following:
Prompt: Edit the space-level instructions that guide the agent’s behavior in your space.
Triggers: Review the workflows, Jira automations, and Studio automations that can start the agent, then follow the available links to update them.
Sources: Add or edit useful sources, such as Confluence pages or Loom recordings, so the agent has the right information when it works.
Access: See whether an agent uses an agent’s account or a user’s account. View its assigned role, and follow the link to manage access in Studio.
App settings: For supported third-party agents, update the space-level configuration provided by the app.
Some settings are only available for particular agents. If a tab or control doesn’t appear, that agent might use a different configuration or manage its settings in another app.
Set agent autonomy
For supported agents like the Jira Triage Agent, admins can set field-level autonomy controls at the space level. This lets you decide which fields an agent can automatically update (such as priority, assignee, labels, status, or components), so your team stays in control of how work gets done.
Autonomy controls are only available for the Jira Triage Agent. Support for more agents will be added over time.
Remove an agent from a space
To remove an agent via the Access page:
Next to the name of your space in the sidebar or header, select More actions (), then Space settings.

Select the User type dropdown and select Agents to view all the agents with access to your space.
Find the agent you want to remove and select More actions (), then select Remove from space.
To remove an agent via the Agents page:
Next to the name of your space in the sidebar or header, select More actions (), then Space settings.
[Agents (エージェント)] を選択します。
Select an individual agent to open its details in the side panel, then select the Access tab.
In the Space role field, select No role.
