Copy a work item layout to other spaces
This page is for company-managed spaces
To check whether your space is team-managed or company-managed, select More actions (•••) next to the space name in either the header or the sidebar. At the bottom of the menu that opens, your space details will be shown.

Save time on space configuration by copying a screen’s work item layout to other spaces that use the same screen. For example, if you’ve configured the Customer default screen in one space and want the same layout for the Customer default screen in another space, you can copy the former layout to the latter. Work item layouts can only be copied on a screen-by-screen basis. More about managing screens
Copying a work item layout only copies the layout (which fields are visible, which section of the work item they’re displayed, and what order they’re displayed in). It doesn’t copy the content in any field.
You must be a Jira admin to copy a work item layout to other spaces.
Copying a work item layout will override layouts in the applied spaces.
To copy a work item layout to other spaces:
From your space’s sidebar, select Space settings, then Work items, then Layout.
Select a work item layout.
Select Copy work item layout in the top right. Only Jira admins can see this button.
Choose which screen’s layout you want to copy, then the spaces you want to apply it to. The spaces available will be those that use the same screen as the layout to copy.

Copying a work item layout doesn’t create a link between layouts. This means that you can always change a space’s individual layouts later without affecting another space that uses the same screen.
