Edit multiple work items in bulk on your plan

Your plan lets you change values of multiple work items at the same time using the Bulk actions menu.

Select multiple work items at once

All of the actions below begin by selecting the work items you want to edit using the checkboxes in the Scope column. Hold Shift on your keyboard to select a range of work items at once. This method will only select the work items displayed in your plan, and not collapsed child or descendant work items. To select hidden work items, expand the parent before selecting.

If you would like to select an entire story or epic, go to the  icon in the Work items column and choose select this and all descendant work items or select only descendant work items.

The Bulk actions menu will only appear after you’ve selected a work item.

Reassign work items to individuals, teams, or sprints

Once you’ve selected your work items:

1. [バルク アクション] > [担当者]、[チーム]、または [スプリント] に移動します。

2. Use the dropdown menu to reassign the work item. Unassigned or None will clear the assignment field.

3. [適用] を選択して変更を完了します。

Update work item dates

Once you’ve selected your work items:

1. [バルク アクション] > [日付] の順に移動します。

2. Choose to Keep existing, Clear date, Set by child work item dates which will aggregate the dates of child work items up to the selected parent work items, or Set custom date.

3. [適用] を選択して変更を完了します。

Update parent work items

In order to move multiple child work items, they must be of the same hierarchy level and cannot be the highest level in your plan (for example, epic).

Work items from team-managed projects can’t be assigned to a new parent work item outside of the project in which they were created. If you select any work items that are part of a team-managed project, you’ll only be able to clear the Parent field using the Bulk actions menu.

To update parent work items:

1. [一括操作] > [親] の順に移動します。

2. Choose the parent work item to which you'd like to move the selected child work items. To clear the current values for the selected work items, select None.

3. [適用] を選択して変更を完了します。

Update work item rank

Once you've selected the work items you'd like to re-rank in the Scope section, there are two ways to move them.

The first way to update work item rank:

1. Navigate to the Bulk actions menu > Rank. Choose the new rank for the selected work items from the following options:

   1. Top of plan - rank work items as highest priority and move to the top of the plan

   2. Bottom of plan - rank work items as lowest priority and move to the bottom of the plan\

   3. Above work item - rank work items above a specific work item of your choosing

   4. Below work item - rank work items below a specific work item of your choosing

2. Select Apply to move the work items to their new rank.

The second way to update work item rank:

1. Select the work items you'd like to re-rank.

2. Hover over the work item where you would like to place them in your plan, and select more () > Rank selected work items above/below. 

Re-ranked work items may appear differently than their actual rank because they will be visually ordered according to the parent-child relationships in your plan. Their new rank will be more accurately displayed in Jira.

Update work item releases

The process of updating release details for work item is the same whether they are in the same project or part of a cross-project release.

Once you’ve selected your work items:

1. [バルク アクション] > [リリース] の順に移動します。

2. In the modal, choose the destination release into which you would like to move the selected work items. Only releases that are associated with projects of the selected work items will be available. Choose None to clear the current values for the selected work items.

3. [適用] を選択して変更を完了します。

Edit Jira work items from your plan

Select Bulk change in Jira in the Bulk actions menu to make changes directly to work items in Jira. You can edit, move, transition, delete, watch, and stop watching work items while in the context of a plan.

Remove work items from a plan

Removing work items that exist in Jira from your plan won’t effect the work item date saved in your instance. However, if you remove a work item that isn’t saved in Jira, it will be gone forever.

To remove work items from your plan:

2. [削除] を選択して確定します。
