Set up AI automations using recommended templates

This feature is currently rolling out and might not yet be available for your Jira space.

Jira can recommend automations to help your team explore new ways to automate tasks using AI agents. These recommendations appear in your space summary and can be created quickly by working through a few steps in Studio. For example, you might use a recommended automation to set up a delivery agent that summarizes progress and identifies risks based on recent work item activity.

Studio automations can be created by any user, not just admins. Read more about automation flows in Studio

To set up a recommended agentic automation:

  1. Go to your Jira space.

  2. Select Summary in the space navigation.

  3. Locate the Agentic Automations gadget.

  4. Select the prompts when you hover over the automation name to interact with a recommended agent immediately. This opens Rovo Chat with a preconfigured prompt for that agent.

  5. To create the automation in Studio, select Set up.

  6. Follow the steps in the setup wizard to configure the automation.

  7. Select Finish or Complete to finalize the setup.

Once setup is complete, you’ll see an Active status next to the automation on your space summary. To make any changes to the automation, select Edit.
