Migrate from the Jira Server integration for Slack

If you've already set up the legacy Jira Server integration (webhook-based) for your Jira Cloud site and want to switch to the modern Jira Cloud for Slack app, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your-slack-team.slack.com/apps/manage and select Jira Server.

  2. For each configuration you want to remove, select the pencil icon and then select Disable or Remove in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to https://slack.atlassian.com and select Add to Slack to install the new Jira Cloud for Slack app.

  4. Follow the installation instructions to set up the new app.

  5. Once you've confirmed your Jira Cloud site, you can reconfigure your channel subscriptions and notification preferences in the new app to match your previous setup.

The new Jira Cloud for Slack app is built on the modern Atlassian Connect platform and gives you access to features that aren’t available in the legacy Server integration, including the link preview cards, thread sync, and Rovo-powered work item creation.
