Change how your plan sorts your issues

This page refers to the advanced planning features that are only available as part of Jira Software Cloud Premium and Enterprise.

To change how your plan sorts issues:

  1. Navigate to the View settings menu on the right side of your screen.

  2. Choose from the Sort by dropdown menu.

Change how issues are sorted in your plan in Advanced Roadmaps for Jira Software Cloud.

To toggle between ascending and descending order on your roadmap, select the up or down arrow next to the field by which you’d like to sort your plan. If issues are already sorted in ascending or descending order, a reset icon will appear at the top of the Fields column. This icon will revert issues to the default rank order.

By default, issues in a plan are sorted by Ranking. With this method chosen, you can drag and drop your issues into whatever order you’d like.

You can also choose sort issues by Dates, Estimates, Status, Assignees, Teams, and most custom field values configured in your plan. If these are selected, you won’t be able to reorder you issues, since your plan is sorting them based on fixed values.
