This page refers to Advanced Roadmaps, which is a cross-project planning tool only available as part of Jira Software Cloud Premium and Enterprise.
We have a separate section for documentation about the project roadmap that’s included in all Jira Software plans. Go to the documentation for project-level roadmaps in Jira Software.
To change how Advanced Roadmaps sorts issues in your plan:
Navigate to the View settings menu.
Choose from the Sort by dropdown menu.
To toggle between ascending and descending order on your roadmap, select the up or down arrow next to the field by which you’d like to sort your plan. If issues are already sorted in ascending or descending order, a reset icon will appear at the top of the Fields column. This icon will revert issues to the default rank order.
By default, issues in a plan are sorted by Ranking. With this method chosen, you can drag and drop your issues into whatever order you’d like.
You can also choose sort issues by Dates, Estimates, Status, Assignees, Teams, and most custom field values configured in your plan. If these are selected, you won’t be able to reorder you issues, since Advanced Roadmaps is sorting them based on fixed values.
Learn more about how Advanced Roadmaps sorts issues on the How Advanced Roadmaps sorts issues page.
