Schedule work in your calendar

Unless otherwise noted, the calendar view in software projects is the same for both company-managed and team-managed projects.

Schedule work in your calendar by adding due dates to work items in your project.

To add a due date to a work item:

  1. Select Unscheduled work in the top right of your calendar. This will open a drawer to the right side of the screen.

  2. Schedule a work item by dragging it onto the calendar to the date that it’s due.

Another way to add a due date to your calendar is by updating the due date in the work item.

In software projects, the due date field isn’t shown in work items by default. How to add the due date field to work items

Filter unscheduled work

To find an unscheduled work item, you can use the search bar or filter unscheduled work. You can filter by:

  • Priority

  • Status

To filter your unscheduled items:

  1. Select Unscheduled work in the top right of your calendar. This will open a drawer to the right side of the screen.

  2. Select Filter, then select the attributes you want to filter by.

Change a work item’s start and due date

You can reschedule a work item directly on the calendar by either:

  • dragging and dropping the work item to a new due date

  • dragging the edges of the work item in either direction to change only the Start date or Due date
