Configure the auto-scheduler in your plan

This page refers to the advanced planning features that are only available as part of Jira Cloud Premium and Enterprise.

Those with Plans Administrator permissions can configure which fields the auto-scheduler has permission to overwrite. The auto-scheduler can overwrite values in the Releases, Teams, and Sprint fields, though it won’t overwrite any data for issues in an active sprint.

To change the auto-scheduler settings:

  1. Next to your plan’s name in the sidebar, select More actions (•••), then Plan settings. Then choose Auto-scheduler.

    1. If you don’t see Auto-scheduler listed in the side nav, you’ll need to turn the auto-scheduler on using the Features page.

  2. Adjust what you would like the Auto-scheduler to include or exclude from your plan.

  3. When you’re ready, use Preview results to begin the auto-scheduling process. Read more about using the auto-scheduling tool.
