View and edit releases in Advanced Roadmaps

This page refers to Advanced Roadmaps, which is a cross-project planning tool only available as part of Jira Software Cloud Premium and Enterprise.

We have a separate section for documentation about the project roadmap that’s included in all Jira Software plans. Go to the documentation for project-level roadmaps in Jira Software.

View releases in your plan

To view releases included in your plan, navigate to the Releases view via the menu next to your plan name:

View your releases from the release menu in Jira Software Cloud

This list will include any set releases (or fix versions) that you've created in Jira Software in your plan, as shown below:

The releases view, showing a table of Jira Software fix versions, their status, and other release metadata

You can narrow down the number of releases shown on this screen by searching for a specific release using the bar, or filter releases based in off track, on track, released, and unreleased.

Issues that are part of excluded or archived releases won’t show on your plan. Learn more about common reasons issues might be missing from your plan.

Edit a release

To make changes to a release in Advanced Roadmaps:

  1. Navigate to the Releases view and selectEdit on the release you’d like to edit.

  2. Make the changes you want and then select Save changes to update the release details in your plan.

Advanced Roadmaps is a sandbox environment meaning that any changes you make to your plan won’t be committed back to your Jira Software issues until you choose to do so.

Learn how to save your changes in the Review and save changes in Advanced Roadmaps section.
