Get Jira notifications in Microsoft Teams
The Jira Cloud app can send Jira notifications directly in Microsoft Teams, either in your personal chat with the app or as updates in a team or channel. You can configure which events trigger notifications, filter by space, and take action on work items directly from the notification.
Set up personal notifications
Select Jira Cloud from the left toolbar in Teams.
Enter Notifications in the Jira Cloud chat. Jira Cloud will automatically set up default personal notifications.
Select Change notifications to adjust your notification preferences.
Select Save notifications.
Turn off email notifications
Once you've set up personal notifications in Teams, you can turn off or adjust email notifications in Jira so you're not receiving duplicate messages.
In Jira, select your avatar in the top menu.
Select Notifications, then Space and work item notifications.
Adjust your email notification preferences.
Set up notifications in a team or channel
Add the Jira Cloud app to the team or channel.
Enter
@Jira, select Jira Cloud from the suggestions, then enter Notifications.Follow the prompts to select your site and space, and to adjust your notification preferences.
You can also set these up from Jira. Select your avatar in the top menu, then Notifications, then Space and work item notifications. Scroll down and select Add space notifications to select your space and adjust your notification preferences.
Take action from a notification
Each notification shows the work item title, current status, priority, assignee, and a summary of what changed. You can comment on, edit, or open the work item directly from the notification, so you don't need to go to Jira.
