To change how your plan displays dependencies on your timeline:
From the timeline view of your plan, select to the View settings .
Use the Dependency style dropdown to choose your dependency style.
If you’re looking at the list of your plan, you’ll only be able to see the Incoming dependencies and Outgoing dependencies columns. Find out how to show or hide your timeline bars.
When looking at the timeline, you can choose from either of the following options:
Badges adds a badge icon to either end of your schedule bar to show that a dependency is linked to that issue.
You can add the number of dependencies to badges using the Show number of dependencies checkbox underneath the Dependency style dropdown menu. This option is only available when you have badges selected. To view this number while viewing lines, hover over the schedule bar and the number will appear.
Lines connects dependent issues on your timeline with lines.
If your plan can’t display a line between two dependent issues, or if the dependency connects to an issue not included in your plan, a badge icon will be shown instead. To view the number of dependencies, hover over the schedule bar.
The line will turn red if there are conflicting dates. To resolve this, change the start or end date associated with the dependency.
If the dependency connects to an issue not included in your plan, or if the line can't be displayed for any other reason, your plan will show the icon instead.
