Embed your plan using an iFrame

This page refers to the advanced planning features that are only available as part of Jira Cloud Premium and Enterprise.

To export or share your plan, you need to have Plans administrator or Plan user permissions. Read more about plan permissions.

Embed a view of your plan in places that don’t support smart links, such as an internal wiki or reports, by adding an iFrame component to your page’s HTML. While it can be embedded in any page, viewers still need to have the permissions described below to view your plan.

This option is only available on the timeline view of your plan.

If you’re embedding your plan in a Confluence page or other Atlassian product, you can embed it using only the link.

When you share your plan, access is granted to viewers based on their global Jira permissions. For users to see your plan, they need:

  • access to your site or product

  • permission to view your plan as granted by the plan owner, who can limit access to their plans

  • the Plans viewer global permission

  • permissions to view the projects and boards included in your plan

Lacking these, those given the link won’t be able to access your plan, and embedded plans appear empty.

To create an <iframe> element of your plan:

  1. In your plan, select Share , then choose iFrame.

  2. Copy the generated iFrame using the Copy button.

  3. Add this to the page’s HTML code.
