Edit the story point estimate of a work item with your keyboard
You can edit the story point estimate of a work item using only your keyboard via the command palette.
Add or edit a story point estimate
To add or edit a story point estimate with the command palette:
Make sure you’re viewing a work item either in the side bar or in full screen.
Open the command palette.
If you’re a Mac user, press command + K to open the command palette.
If you’re a windows user, press Ctrl + K to open the command palette.
Search for the command.
If you’re in a team-managed project, search for Add story point estimate, or Edit story point estimate if your work item already has a story point estimate.
If you’re in a company-managed project, search for Add Story Points or Edit Story Points if your work item already has a story point estimate.
Enter the story point estimate you’d like to add to the work item, then select enter on your keyboard. This will close the command palette and update the story point estimate.
Remove a story point estimate
To remove a story point estimate with the command palette:
Make sure you’re viewing a work item either in the side bar or in full screen.
Open the command palette.
If you’re a Mac user, press command + K to open the command palette.
If you’re a windows user, press Ctrl + K to open the command palette.
Search for the command.
If you’re in a team-managed project, search for Edit story point estimate.
If you’re in a company-managed project, search for Edit Story Points.
Remove the story point estimate.
If you’re in a team-managed project, select Remove story point estimate.
If you’re in a company-managed project, select Remove Story Points.
