Jira Automation docs have moved

All content related to Jira Cloud Automation, previously under the Automate your Jira processes and workflows section, have moved to the new Cloud Automation docs.

Limit who can edit and view your plan in Advanced Roadmaps

This page refers to Advanced Roadmaps, which is a cross-project planning tool only available as part of Jira Software Cloud Premium and Enterprise.

We have a separate section for documentation about the project roadmap that’s included in all Jira Software plans. Go to the documentation for project-level roadmaps in Jira Software.

In Advanced Roadmaps, you can restrict access to private plans that you don’t want anyone to see or edit. You can restrict users' viewing and editing abilities based on their Jira Software user group, their Advanced Roadmaps permissions settings, or by individual person.

To change your plan’s accessibility settings, you must have the GLOBAL_BROWSE_USERS permission, which is a global Jira Software permission. Learn more about global permissions in Jira Software.

To manage your plan permissions within Advanced Roadmaps:

  1. From the Roadmap view, navigate to settings using the  next to your plan name > Configure.

  2. On the left menu, navigate to Permissions

  3. Change who can view or edit your plan.

    1. By default, both the edit and view fields are set to allow All Advanced Roadmaps users. When you select Restricted from the dropdown menu, you’ll be able to restrict access to individual users or groups.
