We're updating our terminology in Jira

'Issue' is changing to 'work item'. You might notice some inconsistencies while this big change takes place.

What is the dependencies view in your plan?

This page refers to the advanced planning features that are only available as part of Jira Cloud Premium and Enterprise.

The Dependencies tab in your plan displays work items as tiles with arrows to illustrate which work items are dependent on others. To open this view, select Dependencies from the navigation.

The Dependencies view only shows work items in your plan that have dependencies, either incoming or outgoing; the arrow between work items indicates the direction of their relationship. If the arrow turns red, this indicates that the dependency is off-track.

To resolve an off-track dependency, select  on the work items tile, then choose Locate work item in timeline. Read more about off-track dependencies.

Using the filters at the top of the page, you can change how they’re grouped, filter out work items, and more to focus on the work items you want to see. Find out how to refine the dependencies view
