Use smart replies in issue comments

Smart replies are short, pre-populated comments you can add to issues with the touch of a button.

NOTE: This feature is currently rolling out. If you'd like access to it now, contact Atlassian Support.

To use smart replies

  1. Select an issue.

  2. Scroll down to the comment box.

  3. Select one of the smart replies to auto-add it to the comment box. (Scroll sideways to view any additional smart reply options.)

  4. Either type more information within the comment box, or select Save to publish the comment to the issue.

To disable smart replies

If you don’t want to use a smart reply, simply start typing in the issue’s comment box, and the smart replies will disappear.

To disable* the feature (affecting everyone in your Jira instance):

  1. Go to (settings).

  2. Select System settings.

  3. Select Edit settings.

  4. Next to Smart replies, select Off.
