Share a Jira backlog in Confluence

Share your team’s Jira backlog in Confluence using Smart Links. You can add Jira Smart Links to the content tree in the left-side navigation area or embed them in another content type.

Sharing a backlog

Select the share icon () in the backlog’s top section, then select Copy link. This copies a web address (known as a URL) to your clipboard. That URL links back to Jira.

Share it in the content tree

There are two ways to add a Smart Link to the content tree.

  • Select Create in the main navigation, then Smart Link. This will create in the space you are currently in or will default to your personal space/whichever space you have edit permissions.

  • Select the plus icon () in the Content section of the space sidebar, then Smart Link. This will create the Smart Link in the content tree directly where you want it.

After selecting Smart Link, you’ll be prompted for a URL. Paste the Jira link and select Add Smart Link to finish.

Share it in a page, blogpost, whiteboard, or database

Create a new content item or edit an existing item.

Paste the link you copied from the board. It will render as a Smart Link in embed view.
