Integrate the Jira Cloud plugin for Copilot in Microsoft Teams

Use the AI capabilities of the Jira Cloud plugin for Microsoft Copilot to boost your productivity and streamline team project management. This powerful integration brings the robust features of Jira Cloud directly into Microsoft Teams, allowing you to track your projects seamlessly. Prerequisites

Before you install the Jira Cloud plugin for Copilot in Teams, you must have:

  • A license for Copilot for Microsoft 365.

  • Extensions enabled by default in all Microsoft 365 Copilot licensed tenants.

  • An Atlassian account to sign in to your Jira Cloud instance.

Install Microsoft Copilot in Teams

  1. Select Apps from the left vertical toolbar in Teams.

  2. Enter Copilot for M365 in the Apps search bar.

  3. Select Add and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

  • Select Copilot from the left vertical toolbar in Teams.

  • Enter Jira Cloud plugin in the search bar.

  • Find the Jira Cloud plugin and select Add.

  • Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

  • Turn on the toggle next to Jira Cloud in the plugin popup.

  1. Find all tickets assigned to a teammate.

Troubleshoot Copilot in Teams

If you need help using Copilot to find information on your Jira tickets, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in: Check you are signed in to the Jira Cloud app in Microsoft Teams.

  2. Enable plugin: Check that the toggle for Jira Cloud is turned on in the Copilot plugin popup.

  3. Permission: Check you have access to the Jira board you are trying to view.

If none of the previous steps work, follow these additional steps:

  1. Sign out of and uninstall the Jira Cloud app.

  2. Sign out of and close Teams.

  3. Reopen and sign in to Teams.

  4. Reinstall and sign in to the Jira Cloud app.

  5. Turn on the toggle for Jira Cloud in the Copilot plugin popup.
