Create sprints in company-managed projects
You can create a sprint for your current iteration, or multiple future sprints if you want to plan several iterations ahead.
Most sprint actions require the Manage Sprints project permission. However, some sprint actions like adding work items to sprints, removing work items from sprints also require the Schedule work items and Edit work items project permissions. Learn more about permissions in Jira.
To create a sprint:
If not already there, navigate to your company-managed software project.
From your project’s sidebar, select Backlog.
Scroll down past any currently existing sprints to the section titled Backlog. On the far right of this section, find and select the Create sprint button.
Once you have created a sprint, you can add work items to it to start planning your team’s future work.
