Connect and remove services in Jira

When you connect a service from Jira Service Management or New Relic to Jira, incidents associated with that service will appear in the incidentsfeature.

If you remove a service, the incident data and post-incident reviews (PIRs) associated with the service will no longer appear in the incidents feature. However, if you reconnect the service, its incident data and PIRs will reappear.

Request Jira Service Management permissions

If you connect Jira Service Management services to the feature but lack permission to view the data, you need to contact your Jira Service Management admin.

To gain permission to view data in the incidents feature:

  1. Select Manage services.

  2. Note the names of services that are connected to your Jira project.

  3. After providing the service names to a teammate who has access to Jira Service Management, ask them to check which projects are connected to those services in Jira Service Management.

  4. Identify the project admin for those Jira Service Management projects.

  5. Contact the project admin to request Collaborator or free access.

  6. Once access is granted, incidents data from Jira Service Management will be visible in the incidents feature.
