Change how your plan sorts your work items
This page refers to the advanced planning features that are only available as part of Jira Cloud Premium and Enterprise.
To change how your plan sorts work items:
Navigate to the View settings menu on the right side of your screen.
Choose from the Sort by dropdown menu.
To toggle between ascending and descending order on your roadmap, select the up or down arrow next to the field by which you’d like to sort your plan. If work items are already sorted in ascending or descending order, a reset icon will appear at the top of the Fields column. This icon will revert work items to the default rank order.
By default, work items in a plan are sorted by Ranking. With this method chosen, you can drag and drop your work items into whatever order you’d like.
You can also choose sort work items by Dates, Estimates, Status, Assignees, Teams, and most custom field values configured in your plan. If these are selected, you won’t be able to reorder your work items, since your plan is sorting them based on fixed values.
