Sort your list view alphabetically

When you sort your list, child work items will stay with their parent. The work type icons will be nested below each other, so you can clearly see how the items relate to each other.

To sort the list view alphabetically:

  1. Hover over the field (column) header.

  2. Select to sort the list alphabetically A → Z or Z → A.

To quickly copy a work item link:

  1. Hover over the work item key you’d like to copy.

  2. Select the link icon and it will automatically copy the link to the work item.

Rank the work items in your list

You can arrange work items according to their relative importance or urgency by ranking them. Simply drag and drop a work item to a higher or lower position in your list. You can also change the ranking of child work items under their parent.

Reorder the fields in your list

Everyone visualizes their work differently, so you may want to customize the list view. Arrange your list view so you can view the information that’s most important to you first.

To reorder the fields in your list:

  1. Hover your cursor over the field (column) header.

  2. Select the drag icon .

  3. Drag the fields (columns) at the top of the list to suit the order in which you’d like to view your work items.

To move work items and change the order in the list view, you’ll first need to clear any sorting rankings you’ve used.

Search the list

Use keywords from your work item summary, or description to search in the list view. Enter the keyword and all work items containing those keywords will be shown. You can also search by entering the whole work item key.

Hide work items marked as ‘Done'

Anyone with access to the project can hide work items marked as ‘Done’ or with the done status category:

  1. Navigate to the list view in your project.

  2. Select More actions () at the top-right of your list view.

  3. Switch on the toggle to Hide done items.

Once you’ve hidden the done items, it will only appear for you. Those with access to the same project will need to hide it for themselves if they don’t want to see them.
