Filter items in your list, board, calendar, and timeline view. Filtering helps you focus on specific details in your project and find important information without having to scroll through your entire team's work. You can check high-priority tasks to see that nothing is blocked or see individual team members' workloads at a glance.
All users can access the filter
Your filter will only be visible to you
Filter the items you’re searching for by selecting Filter drop-down at the top-right of the list, calendar, or timeline view.
In Quick filters, you can apply multiple filters by:
Assigned to me
Due this week
Done items
To view your Done items in the Board view, refer to the Done column of your board. You’ll only be able to view a done item in the Done column for 14 days of it being moved there. After 14 days, the board will omit the item. You’ll still be able to see it in the list, timeline, and calendar view.
In More filters for the list, calendar, and timeline view, you can apply the following:
Date range
Assignee
Category (new projects in the list view only)
Issue type
Labels
Priority
Reporter
Status
In More filters for the board view, you can apply the following:
Assignee
Category (new projects only)
Components (company-managed projects only)
Issue type
Labels
Priority
When filtering items in the list, calendar, or timeline view, you will still see the subtasks along with the other issue types if they match your filter. However, subtasks will not appear below their respective parent task when the filter is applied.
To clear your Quick filters:
Select the Filter drop-down at the top-right in whichever view you’re in.
Select Clear filters.
To clear More filters:
Select the Filter drop-down at the top-right in whichever view you’re in.
Select Clear.
The list, calendar, or timeline reverts to the default view, showing all items.
Another way you can filter your items by assignee in any view is by selecting the avatar. To see the items assigned to a particular team member, click on their avatar at the top right of your preferred view and it will filter the items by assignee.
Your filter choices won't save when switching between views. The filters you have applied do not persist across different views. For example, when you switch from List to Timeline. You’ll need to filter for each view you choose to use.
The filters that are applied in Quick filters will not affect More filters. There is no relation between the two, except that they are both filter functions for that view.
