What are parallel sprints?

This page is for company-managed projects

To check whether your project is team-managed or company-managed, select more actions (•••) next to the project name in either the header or the sidebar. At the bottom of the menu that opens, you’ll be able to view whether your project is team-managed or company-managed.

More about the difference between company-managed and team-managed projects.

The Parallel sprints feature lets you enable multiple active sprints that are running in parallel with each other. For example, if you have two teams working from the same backlog, each team can now work on their own active sprint simultaneously.

There are some caveats when using parallel sprints:

  • The Velocity Chart will not show the velocity per team.

  • The current implementation assumes that the teams perform estimation identically, which is unlikely in practice.
