Link issues to Compass components

  1. On the Components page, check that your project admin has switched to Compass components.

  2. Open the issue you want to link to a component, and find the Components field.

  3. Search for and select the component you want to link the issue to.

The component and issue will appear on your project’s Components page, along with information that’ll help your team understand the impact of, and make progress on, their work.

  1. Open the issue you want to unlink from a component, and find the Components field.

  2. Select the cross next to the component you want to unlink the issue from.

If this was the only issue linked to a component, that component will disappear from the project’s Components page, because it’s no longer relevant to the project. (The component is still in Compass; you just need to link it to an issue again for it to appear in your project.)

If the Compass component is grayed out, you can still unlink it from the issue; it just indicates that your project is switched to Jira components.

You can perform this action with your keyboard via Jira’s command palette. Use command + K (for Mac) or Ctrl + K (for Windows) to open the command palette while you’re in Jira. Read more about Jira’s command palette
