Enable users and groups to create spaces with custom templates

Jira admins can create a custom template, which allows approved users and groups to create their own spaces in Jira.

Allow users to create spaces with an existing template

1. Go to the template’s source space and select More actions (•••).

2. Select Edit template.

3. From the template name and description screen, select Next.

4. Add the users and groups you wish to create new spaces from the template.

1. Go to the space you wish to make a template of and select More actions (•••).

2. Select Save as template.

3. Follow the prompts provided in-product to create the template.

4. Add the users and groups you wish to create new spaces from the template.

Where can approved users and groups view custom templates?

Custom templates created by your organisation will be available for approved users and groups in the template gallery, which is visible to them after they select Create space.
