Enable the development feature
This feature is currently in beta.
This means that the feature may not be available to everyone, the functionality may be limited, and it will change as we continue to develop it.
The development feature for software projects in Jira Cloud gives engineering leaders and teams a unified, actionable view of key development and security data, helping drive impact across the software development lifecycle.
Enable or disable the development feature
Only Jira project admins can enable and disable features on a project.
Enable or disable from project settings
Go to your software project in Jira Cloud.
In the sidebar, select More actions () next to your project’s name, then select Project settings.
Select Features.
In the Development section, use the toggle next to Development to enable or disable the feature.
If you disable the development feature, you can re-enable it at any time from Project settings.
Manage from project navigation
Go to your software project in Jira Cloud.
From the project’s navigation, select Add to navigation ().
Select Development, then Add to navigation.
To remove the Development tab, hover over Development in your project’s navigation, select More actions (), then select Remove. You’ll no longer see the Development tab in the project’s navigation.
If you removed the development feature, you can add it back from the project’s navigation at any time.
When enabled, the Development tab will be available to everyone with project access.
Disabling the development feature doesn’t impact existing app connections or previously linked data, and it doesn’t remove development and security information from other areas in Jira Cloud. Related development information, such as repositories and pull requests (on the Code page), the Development panel on Jira work items, development info on boards, and vulnerabilities on the Security page, remains available for everyone with project access.
