Enable capacity planning in your plan
This page refers to the advanced planning features that are only available as part of Jira Cloud Premium and Enterprise.
In order to use capacity planning in your plan:
work items need to use story points or hours/days as their estimation units
your plan needs to use boards as work sources
work drawn from projects and filter won’t show capacity information
if your plan includes team-managed projects, make sure sprints are turned on in those projects
(optional) create a sprint from your board soyour plan can infer future sprints based on it
Once you do that, you can view capacity on your timeline:
Navigate the View settings menu and group your work items by Team or Sprint.
Select the checkbox next to Show capacity on timeline.
Show capacity on your Program board
Capacity information is enabled by default on the Program board, provided you’ve added your sprints as part of your board’s configuration. See the steps to add sprints to your Program board.
