The Roadmap view in Jira Software is the same for both company-managed projects and team-managed projects, aside from how to enable it and troubleshooting information.
The roadmap is where you can create, manage, and visualize your team's epics. Roadmaps are useful for planning large pieces of work several months in advance and planning large groups of stories across different sprints.
Roadmaps are designed for single projects
It’s not possible to use the roadmap if your board filters through issues from multiple projects. The roadmap helps you visualize, plan, and share work for a single project.
To enable your roadmap, adjust your board filter to only include issues from one project.
Before you begin
To enable the roadmap on a board, you must be either:
a project administrator for the location of the board
a board administrator for the board itself
See Permissions overview for more information.
Enable or disable the roadmap
To enable or disable the roadmap:
1. Go to your board, then select more () in the top right corner > Board settings.
2. In the Roadmap tab, enable or disable the roadmap feature for your project.
