Delete or remove a calendar

If you don't want to see a calendar in a space or on your My Calendars page anymore, there are two ways you can remove it. How you proceed depends upon whether you're just hiding the calendar from your view, or deleting it completely.

Remove a calendar

You want to "Remove" a calendar if you just want to hide it from a particular view of calendars, but not delete it entirely.

To remove a calendar from a space's calendar view:

  1. Select Calendar in the space sidebar to see all the calendars linked to the space.

  2. In the left panel of the space's calendars view, select  next to the calendar you want to remove and select Remove from space calendar.

  3. Select Remove to confirm.

To remove a calendar from My Calendars view:

  1. Select Apps in the top nav and select Calendars.

  2. In the left panel of your My Calendars view, select  next to the calendar you want to remove and select Remove from my calendar.

  3. Select Remove to confirm.

Delete a calendar

This action will permanently delete the calendar for all users.

You can only delete a calendar if you are a site admin, product admin, space admin, or the original calendar creator. To delete a calendar:

  1. Find the calendar in a space or on your team calendars page.

  2. Select details icon () next to the calendar name and select Delete calendar.

  3. Lastly, select Delete to confirm.

If you are the original calendar creator and can’t delete it, have your admin check the space settings and verify that the permission Delete own is enabled.

If you're using Confluence Cloud, and you'd like Atlassian Cloud site admins to be able to delete calendars, in addition to the calendar's owner, you can enable that option in your Team Calendars settings. Type Team Calendars in the Confluence quick search to get to your Team Calendars settings, then tick Allow site administrators to manage calendars.
