Ensure your browser is updated to the most recent version & ensure hardware acceleration is enabled to prevent any issues.

For Firefox

  2. Search for webgl.force-enabled and toggle this preference to true

  3. Search for webgl.disabled and toggle this preference to false

  4. Restart your Firefox browser to apply these new settings

Troubleshooting issues

Error screens

  • If you see the “Update your display driver” error, hardware acceleration will likely be disabled. To fix this, follow the steps above.

  • If you consistently see “Looks like you’re offline. We’ll sync any offline changes when you’re back.” You may need to contact your IT team to ensure http://canvas-workers.atlassian.com/ is on your allowlist and that web-sockets protocols are allowed.

Slow performance

  • If your application is slow - it is likely WebGL is not enabled & installed or hardware acceleration has been turned off.
