Configure attachment size

The Attachment Maximum Size setting is not currently functional, so attachment size limits are not able to be enforced. You can stay informed about the progress of this feature improvement request here.

Confluence Cloud gives you the option of limiting the maximum size of a single file attachment.

To configure the maximum size allowed for an attachment:

  1. If you aren’t already there, go to your Confluence Cloud site.

  2. Select the settings wheel () in the top right corner to open site settings.

  3. Select General Configuration from the sidebar (under Configuration).

  4. Select Edit next to the Attachment Settings heading.

  5. In the field for Attachment Maximum Size, enter your preferred maximum size (in bytes). The default is 100 megabytes.

  6. Select Save at the bottom of the page.
