Status page: Live docs + Marketplace apps
Which Marketplace apps are supported by Live Docs?
Live Docs, a feature currently in beta, support apps that appear in:
The “Apps” item in the overflow menu
The content byline below a live doc’s title
The contextual menu that appears when a user highlights text
A banner that apps can put above Live docs
マクロ
Other locations for apps not in this list that have historically been supported by pages are not supported on live docs.
Note that some apps may not yet be fully functional as expected. Developers are also participating in testing live docs and are working on having their apps fully functional by the time they reach general availability.
App locations impacted by content layout updates
Customers with Live Docs beta enabled also received updates to the content layout in Confluence.
With this content layout update, marketplace app buttons that have historically lived in the area at the top of your page will no longer appear, both on live docs and pages. This change is meant to simplify how apps are interacted with in Confluence.
Some popular examples of apps that have buttons in this header area:
Note that some apps that usually have buttons in the header may still be usable via other extension points that are still available in the updated layout. Apps that appear in the content byline, overflow menu, macros, and general banner extension points will still be available.
Marketplace developers have been asked to move any app buttons that currently live in the header to other extension points by April 30, 2025. That means that app buttons that usually live in the header area today will not be available on your EAP site until developers update them (either on April 30, 2025 or later if they do not make the changes on time).
Opting out of these content layout changes
We understand that apps can be critical to customer workflows, so if you would like to opt out of these content layout changes in order to maintain access to apps that live in the header area (while remaining part of the Live Docs beta), you can do so by submitting a support request.
