Troubleshooting import data from Notion to Confluence

You can also find more information in our frequently asked questions article.

Notifications

You’ll receive a notification email when the import is complete. If the import was a success, the email will contain which spaces, pages, and users were transferred. If any imports partially or fully unsuccessful, you’ll receive a short indication about why it failed. The following table provides more information about each error message and steps you can take to solve them.

Partial success

If part of the import was successful, and part of it failed, you will receive one of the following notifications:

Notification example

How to fix it

5 users couldn’t be imported.

Check the missing user’s status in Notion and ensure that they are not deactivated. Retry importing content containing these users.

1 space couldn’t be imported.

Make yourself the workspace owner in Notion, if possible. Otherwise, contact the workspace owner or a Notion admin to add you as an owner for that workspace.

11 pages couldn’t be imported, or were imported incorrectly.

Go to Notion and create a new export file. Then, start the import process again.

Note: It is difficult to determine the exact cause. You can also look through the FAQ article and see if any common scenarios apply.

If the import process failed, use the following table to figure out a solution and try again.

  3. Ensure that the content from uploaded file matches the content selected during the OAuth authentication step.
