Alerts after migration
The core functionality of alerts remains largely the same in Jira Service Management and Compass, but there are key differences in how they work in each product. While most features work similarly to Opsgenie, there are some UI changes and details to be aware of.

Yes, alerts are available across all plans. While there are some UI changes, the core functionality remains similar to Opsgenie.
Is this feature auto-synced after data migration?
Yes, alerts will be auto-synced in both Jira Service Management and Compass until Opsgenie is turned off. No manual action is required.
Are there required actions for full workflow parity?
No major actions are required. However, review the changes outlined below to understand differences in workflow and UI.
What has changed?
The following changes apply to both Jira Service Management and Compass unless otherwise mentioned:
Alert details are automatically synced across both products.
Alert actions appear in both Jira Service Management and Compass, allowing teams to take action directly from the alert page. However, automation rules for alerts can only be configured in Jira Service Management.
Alert lists have the same structure in both products.
Team alerts and global alerts continue to exist in Jira Service Management and Compass, similar to Opsgenie.
Search functionality remains similar to Opsgenie.
The alert detail page now has an Alert assignee instead of an Alert owner.
Owner teams are also removed. You can now add teams as alert responders.
Alerts in Jira Service Management
To access Alerts in Jira Service Management go to Operations > Alerts in the side menu. The alerts page retains a familiar structure to Opsgenie, with search and filtering options.
Alerts integrate directly with incidents, allowing teams to link and escalate incidents.
AIOps capabilities are available on Premium and Enterprise plans, enabling advanced insights and automation.
Users can configure automation rules for alerts via changeboarding.
Alerts in Jira Service Management use alert assignees instead of alert owners.

Alerts in Compass
To access alerts in Compass go to Operations > Alerts in the side menu. Or, navigate to Home and select View all from the Alerts widget.
Unlike Jira Service Management, alerts in Compass don’t link to incidents.
The Service field is replaced with Components in Compass.
Automation rules for alerts aren’t configurable in Compass.
