Integrate Opsgenie with Workato

What does Opsgenie offer Workato users?

Use Opsgenie’s Workato Integration to forward Workato alerts to Opsgenie. Opsgenie determines the right people to notify based on on-call schedules – using email, text messages (SMS), phone calls, and iOS & Android push notifications, and escalates alerts until the alert is acknowledged or closed.

Functionality of the Integration

When an Opsgenie action occurs in Workato, an alert is created in Opsgenie through the integration.

Add Workato Integration in Opsgenie

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations. Search for Workato and select Add

Under the Free and Essentials plans, the tabs under the Team dashboard are limited to Main, Integrations, Members, and Activity Stream.

2. Specify who is notified of Workato alerts using the Responders field. Auto-complete suggestions are provided as you type.

Did you know that you can also add this integration from your team dashboard? 

If you want your team to be the owner of this integration, add it from your team dashboard. Opsgenie will assign the alerts received through this integration to your team only.

To do that:

  1. Go to Teams,

  2. Find your team and select it to go to your team dashboard,

  3. From your team navigation, select Integrations,

  4. Select Add integration.

3. Copy the API Key.

4. Click Save Integration.

Configuration in Workato

  1. Open the Opsgenie Adapter in Workato Developer Marketplace.

  2. Click the green Install this adapter button at the right top of the page.

  3. Open App Connections in Workato and click Create a new connection.

4. Choose "Opsgenie" from the dropdown list.

5. Name the connection and paste the Opsgenie API Key copied previously into the API Key field.

6. After establishing a connection, use recipes to create Opsgenie alerts.
