Create a service relationship

Service relationships are used to reveal the connection and correlation status between services.

A relationship can be set up between a minimum of 2 services, up to 20 services for each relationship type. They can be a dependency between services (Service A - Service B) or containment of services (Service A = Service B + Service C)

Service relationships are defined from the detail of the service definition page. Follow the guidelines below to configure a new relationship.

Service relationship
  1. To create a service relationship, go to the Services page under a team. On the Definition tab, click Add relationship button.

Add relationship

2. Currently, there are two relationship types in Opsgenie: Depends on and Contains. Select a relationship type, then select a service.

3. Click Add.

Definition

4. After adding, you can view the existing service relationship configurations from the service definition page.
