Manage Shadow IT in Trello

Organization admins can prevent managed accounts from signing up for Trello by using product request settings found in Security > Product requests at admin.atlassian.com.

This feature is available for organization admins who have Jira, Jira Service Management, or Confluence Enterprise plans. If you have any of these Enterprise plans, you also get product request settings for Trello.

Product request settings

When enabled, the Require admin review setting will prevent managed accounts from signing up for Trello and prompt them to request access instead. After they request access, an email is sent to all organization Admins to review the request.

Review product requests

When reviewing a product request, we recommend that you contact the user to learn more about their request. You can update the status of the request to show your progress.

Marking a pending request as Resolved does not automatically allow access to the requested product.
