Adding the Trello Widget on Android

The Android Trello Widget allows you to quickly create cards on your Inbox or boards, and mark cards as complete.

There are a few ways to add the new widget on Android:

From the phone home screen

1. While on your phone’s home screen, hold your finger until you see a window appear that includes a “Widgets” option

2. Tap on Widgets

3. Either scroll down to the Trello section or search for Trello in the widget screen’s search bar

4. Select the Trello to-do list widget and confirm your selection

From the Inbox screen in the Trello Android app

1. Open the Trello Android app and navigate to the Inbox screen in the bottom nav menu

2. Tap the overflow “…” menu in the upper-right corner of the Inbox screen

3. Select the Add as widget option in the menu, then tap Add to home screen

The widget will default to your inbox, allowing you to mark card as complete directly from your home screen, or tap on the widget to quickly add a new card.

Changing the Widget’s list

If you are not an inbox user and you’d like to keep track of a different list under a different board, the widget can also do that! It will reflect your list and board of choice from the quick add menu on your Trello App. Here’s how to change that:

1. Open the Trello App

2. Select the boards tab to the bottom left

3. Find the Quick add menu and tap on the small pencil

4. You’ll be prompted to select between the inbox or board

5. Select board

From there, you can select the board and list that the widget tracks, allowing you to quickly create cards and mark them as complete.
