Activate or deactivate Rovo

Atlassian Rovo enhances your search abilities, including in connected third-party products, and improves efficiency with Agents and Chat using AI.

Rovo is available for all plans. You must have organization admin permissions to be able to activate Rovo. Learn about permissions

Activate Rovo

To activate Rovo for your organization:

You can only activate Rovo per organization once.

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Settings > Rovo.

  3. Select Start a 30-day free trial or Activate Rovo.

  4. Once you agree to the relevant terms and policies, you’ll receive a confirmation that Rovo was added to your organization. You can then activate Rovo for your sites immediately or return to the Rovo page later to Activate a site.

To activate Rovo for your sites:

Once you’ve activated Rovo on a site, all users on that site will have access to all Rovo features.

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Settings > Rovo, select Activate a site.

  3. Select a site to activate Rovo on. Select Next.

  4. Review your site selection. Select Activate. All users on an activated site will have access to Rovo.

  5. Next, you can enhance your Rovo experience by adding a Rovo connector.

Rovo is billed as a per user subscription, for every unique user in your organization who has access to any site with Rovo enabled. More about managing your bill for Rovo

Deactivate Rovo

You must have billing admin permissions to be able to deactivate Rovo.

To deactivate Rovo, you’ll need to remove the trial or subscription for your site. You’ll have up to 60 days to reactivate Rovo and restore your data. You’ll also need to disconnect your third-party products.

To deactivate Rovo:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Follow the steps outline in Cancel a subscription to deactivate and remove Rovo for your site.

Reactivate a deactivated Rovo site

You must have billing admin permissions to be able to reactivate Rovo.

If you change your mind, you can reactivate Rovo on your site at any time. If you want to reactivate Rovo 60 days after deactivating, you'll need to contact Atlassian Support for help reactivating and restoring your data.

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Settings > Rovo

  3. Find the site you want to reactivate and select “…”

  4. Select Manage subscription

  5. You’ll be taking to billing and then select > Reactivate

  6. Select Contact support to get your subscription back up and running.
