Create automation flows in Atlassian Administration
Who can do this? |
You can create a flow from scratch with the flow builder or use templates that include preset conditions and actions for a faster setup. Automation flows include three parts: triggers that kick off the flow, conditions that refine the flow, and actions that perform tasks. Essential concepts of automation flows
Create automation flows with the flow builder
To create a flow:
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Organization settings > Automation.
Select the automation icon, then select Create automation.
In the flow builder, select a trigger for the flow.
To set additional conditions, actions, or branches on the flow, select Add step.
Give your flow a name and select Turn on flow.
After you create the flow, you can edit its details at any time from Flow details.
Create automation flows with templates
Create flows with a template to reduce the steps needed to automate authentication policies. For example, start with the User added to a group template to assign a user in a group to an authentication policy. You can further build the flow by adding specific conditions and actions tailored to your requirements.
To create a flow from a template:
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Organization settings > Automation.
Select the automation icon, then select Manage automations > Templates.
Select the template from the list. The flow builder screen will appear with the pre-selected triggers, conditions, and actions.
If you want to set additional conditions, actions, or branches on the flow, select Add step.
Give your flow a name and select Turn on flow.
After you create the flow, you can edit its details at any time from Flow details.
