We’re renaming ‘products’ to ‘apps’

Atlassian 'products’ are now ‘apps’. You may see both terms used across our documentation as we roll out this terminology change. Here’s why we’re making this change

Assign a product to a policy

We’re rolling out a new backup and restore experience for a limited number of customers on the Enterprise plan through an open beta program.

Backup and restore isn’t available in the Atlassian Government environment.

To create a backup policy:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Settings > Backup and restore.

  3. Select Create new policy.

  4. In the Policy name field, enter a name for the policy.

  5. Select the product that you want to assign to the policy.

You can filter products by type, encryption, and policy limits.

Select entities

After selecting the app, select the entities you want to back up. Entities such as attachments and personal spaces are included by default. You can exclude them from the backup by toggling them off.

This table describes the data that is included for each type of app and whether you can exclude specific entities from the backup. For the detailed list of entities that we back up, view
