Manage your users' requests for products

This feature is available for Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence with an Enterprise plan.

By default, your users can sign up for their own Atlassian products. While this is great for team collaboration, you may not want them to be able to start products you don’t know about. If that’s the case, you can use the Product request settings to prevent users from signing up for an Atlassian product when you have an Enterprise plan for that product.

If you update your settings to no longer allow new products, we prevent your users from signing up for products when they go to www.atlassian.com. As an organization admin, this won’t prevent you or other admins from starting a new product or sandbox from admin.atlassian.com.

Even with product requests settings, there are a few places in your Atlassian products where your users may still be able to sign up for their own products. For this reason, we recommend that you continue to monitor your organization’s Discovered products and reach out to users who signed up for them. Learn more about discovered products

These places in your Atlassian products include:

  • From the More Atlassian products option under the Switch to menu

  • From banners within Atlassian products they’re already using that may prompt them to sign up for a different product

  • From the Jira or Confluence mobile app if they don’t already have access to one of those products

  • From the Atlassian Administration for the product they administer
