Manage your users' requests for shadow IT apps

Who can do this?
Role: Organization admin
Atlassian Cloud: Bitbucket Premium, Confluence Enterprise, Customer Service Management Enterprise, Jira Enterprise, Jira Product Discovery Enterprise, Jira Service Management Enterprise, Loom Enterprise, Service Collection Enterprise, Statuspage Enterprise, Trello (if you have an Enterprise plan) and Teamwork Collection Enterprise.
Atlassian Government Cloud: Not available

By default, your users can sign up for their own Atlassian apps. While this is great for team growth, you may not want them to be able to start apps you don’t know about. If that’s the case, you can update your App request settings to prevent users from signing up for apps. This feature is only available on eligible app plans.

Update app request settings
Prevent users from signing up for apps or revert back to the default setting that allows new apps.
Review app requests
Contact the user who requested a shadow IT app to find out more about their request.
Why can users create apps when requests are required?
Even with app request settings turned on, your managed accounts may still be able to sign up for new apps
