Learn about Atlassian organizations
New to administering Atlassian cloud products? Learn about Atlassian organizations and what it means to be an organization admin.
A backup policy is a set of rules that you define to protect your Atlassian data. Backup policies define what product you want to back up and if you want to backup data such as attachments or personal spaces. Currently, we don’t support scheduling or setting the frequency of taking backups.
When you run a backup, we save a copy of your Jira or Confluence product data in Atlassian storage.
In case your data is lost, corrupted, or inaccessible, you can use this copy to restore your product data within 14 days.
You can run a new backup once every 7 days. If your backup fails or is incomplete, you can run it again as many times as you need until you get a complete backup. Learn more about backup limitations
