How to disable third-party actions in Atlassian Admin
Use this guide to globally disable Atlassian-provided third-party actions in Atlassian Admin for a site in your organization. This setting helps Org Admins reduce or prevent actions that interact with non-Atlassian services, such as sending email through a connected Gmail account or creating content in a connected third-party workspace.
Instructions
Follow these steps to turn off default third-party actions for a site.
Open the organization’s site settings in Atlassian Admin.
Go to the organization you want to manage.
Navigate to Apps → Sites → {site-name}.
Select the specific site you want to configure.
Open Connected Apps settings.
Within the selected site, open Connected Apps.
Click Settings.
This is where global controls for third-party integrations and actions are managed.
Disable default third-party actions.
Use the control to disable default actions.
This turns off third-party actions that are enabled by default for the selected site.
Examples include sending email through a connected third-party Gmail account or creating docs in a connected third-party workspace.
Important: You must be an Org Admin to make this change. Being only a site admin is not enough.
What counts as a third-party action? A third-party action is an action that interacts directly with a non-Atlassian service. This guide is focused on globally disabling Atlassian-provided third-party actions that are available by default.
