View backup details

The new backup and restore solution is available to a limited number of customers on the Enterprise plan through a closed beta program.

 

To view a backup’s details:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Settings > Data management.

  3. Select Backup and restore.

  4. In the Backup policy table, find the policy that includes the product you want to backup. Select View details.

  5. Select the specific backup you want to view.

Backup details include the following:

  • Time of backup

  • Backup status

  • A Restore link if the backup can be restored

  • A Download report link to view the details of data that’s backed up.

  • Backup size

  • Whether attachments are included

  • Whether personal spaces are included (Confluence only)

  • Who ran the backup

We also record activities in an audit log that you can view in admin.atlassian.com. Read more about the audit log and what activities we track

Partially completed backing up data:

  • Incomplete Jira backups contain missing attachments

  • Incomplete Confluence backups contain missing spaces

Failed to back up data

Completed restoring data

Partially restored data

Failed to restore data
