Flexible instance-based pricing options for Marketplace apps

To enhance pricing flexibility for Enterprise plan customers, Marketplace apps are now offering flexible instance-based pricing options. This will enable Cloud Enterprise customers to be charged based on the number of unique users, regardless of the number of product instances.

What is the difference between purchasing for a single instance and multiple instances?

With the new flexibility in pricing for multiple instances, customers have to just pay for the total number of unique users across different instances, rather than buying licenses individually for each instance. It's beneficial for larger organizations or those with specific customization needs, as each instance can be tailored or scaled independently.

Whenever new users are added to a site, a single invoice will be generated instead of a new quote for apps. However, the invoice will detail the multi-instance pricing for apps separately at the time of renewal, purchase, or upgrade. This flexibility, which is aimed only at Cloud Enterprise Edition (CEE) customers, will also give them access to volume discounts at the Enterprise level.

What are the benefits of multiple instances?

  • One-time purchase
With a one-time purchase, the same app can be used in different environments, and the customers don’t have to buy the app again.

  • Improved administration
Customers won’t be restricted to a single instance, and users will have more control over how they use the app. It encourages a more advanced, customizable app environment.

  • Enhanced flexibility
Users can run multiple instances of an app for different purposes and work in isolated environments without having to pay twice. This will provide more scope for customization and make app usage more efficient.

How can these options be availed?

All the existing apps are available with multi-instance pricing. From June 2025, customers can contact Advocates from the app listing page to learn more about multi-instance pricing.

  1. Select Contact sales from the app listing page.
