Copy data associated with Jira Service Management Premium features

When you copy service projects from your source to the destination, they can include data from features if your source uses a Jira Service Management Premium or Enterprise license:

Data from multiple help centers

  • Topics and page layouts

  • Announcements

  • Help center configurations including project mapping and portal configurations

  • Help center branding

Media data, including help center banner images and logos, will not be copied to the destination site.

Customized help centers

When help centers are customized with different appearances on both your source site and destination site, the customization data will be copied to the destination after the data copy. However, this customization data will not affect the already customized help centers on the destination.

Data from the virtual service agent

  • Intents

  • Standard flows

  • Settings and channels

For the virtual service agent feature to work as expected, make sure the Atlassian Intelligence is activated for Jira Service Management at your destination site. Read more about how virtual service agent works

What happens if you use a Free or Standard license on the destination

During our data validation process, we check whether your destination site uses a Jira Service Management Premium or Enterprise product license. If it currently uses a Free or Standard license, you will be able to upgrade your license during the validation.

If you continue the data copy with a Free or Standard license on the destination, we will still copy the data associated with the Premium or Enterprise features from your source to the destination. However, it is important to note that although the data will exist at your destination, you won’t have access to this data unless you upgrade.
